Field boundaries and a drain have been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1992) some 1km SE of Castle Kennedy. A double-ditched field boundary in an adjacent field to the NW is depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Wigtownshire 1894, sheet XVIII SW).
