Shaft/Mine Details: 2 shafts, both 205m deep

Details in 1948: Output 265 tons per day, 66,250 tons per annum, stoop and room and longwall working. 199 employees. 2 screens for dry coal, Luhrig-type washer (Dickson and Mann). No baths, canteen or medical facilities. Steam, and electricity 100% public supply. Report dated 08-08-1948.

Other Details: The furthest south of the Girvan Valley pits, it received coal from Maxwell and Dalquharran pits to be washed. Pithead baths were built in 1955.
