Law hospital was one of seven new Emergency Medical Services Hospitals built in 1939/40 at the start of World War II as a result of the Civil Defence Act.
A luftwaffe air photographtaken in 1940, incorrectly annotates the site as a barracks.
The hospital was closed and its functions transferred to Wishaw General Hospital in 2001.
