Site Management (12 May 1994)

18th-earlier 19th century farm steading with house, forming S range of courtyard. All whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted ashlar margins: slate roofs. HOUSE: 18th century; 2 storeys 3 bays with (originally symmetrical) flanking recessed wings added early 19th century and linked to steading: heavily-droved ashlar dressings. originally single storey; central porch with blind flank doorways, corbelled eaves and fanlight breaking in to pedimented gable. End stacks (1 brick). Wing NW angle abuts steading W range with pend at ground in unusual arrangement. STEADING: 2nd half 18th - earlier 19th century individual single storey ranges, mostly piend-roofed and built around cobbled courtyard: unusual detached rectangular-plan trabeated cartshed to N with loft: byre to NW.
