(ND 0489 6345) Mound (NR)
OS 6" map, Caithness, 2nd ed., (1907)
That this is a broch is suggested by the character and curve of the wall of the small fragment of building here.
RCAHMS 1911.
This is a grass-covered mound, 1.2m high, 14.0m E-W by 10.0m transversely, with asmall pile of grass-covered stones on the top. Though artificial, there is now no evidence to suggest that this is a broch; nor could its nature be determined.
Resurveyed at 1:2500.
Visited by OS (R D) 22 October 1964.
No change to the previous field report.
Visited by OS (J B) 5 October 1981.

ND06 6 KNOCKGLASS 2 ('Achigremach', 'Knock Glass 2') ND/0489 6345
Probable broch in Halkirk, Caith-ness, consisting of a grass-covered mound, 1.2m high in which, in 1910, was visible part of a curved wallface which looked broch-like [2]; this can no longer be seen [1].
