(ND 0967 6128) Site of (NAT) Pict's House (NR)

OS 6" map, Caithness, 2nd ed., (1876)

This Pictish house has been destroyed for many years and nothing is now visible. It was well known by this name.

Name Book 1872.

At the site is a low, natural rise under a standing crop at the time of field investigation. The farmer has no knowledge of a 'Pict's House' here, and has found no unusual concentrations of stone.

Visited by OS (N K B) 17 August 1981.
