Nothing can now be seen of the shaft whose site lies in an arable field, on the NE side of the Great North road 100m ESE of Blairadam Bridge of a group of small coal pits shown on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Fife & Kinross, 1856, sheet 30) and annotated 'coal pits' and 'old shafts'.
