There are the remains of several small coal pits, spoil heaps, possible subsidence pits, buildings and the footings of a miners village to the E of Lethans Colliery. Some of these buildings are depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map, (Fife & Kinross, 1856, sheet, xxix).
