Field Visit (5 November 1992)

NH63SE 88 6595 3234.

This building stands on a terrace on a NW-facing slope to the E of Loch a' Chlachain. It measures 10.9m from NE to SW by 5.3m transversely over faced-rubble walls 0.8m thick. The entrance is on the SE side.

There is an outshot, measuring 2.5m square, at the NE end, and an enclosure to the SE.

This building is depicted as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874, sheet xxxi). By 1905, the date of the second edition, it was roofless.
