Activities

Field Visit (16 March 1993)

NH63SE 74 665 330.

A building and three enclosures are situated on a spur to the S of the public road to the SW of Crask. The N side of the building (NH 6651 3302) has been truncated by road widening and is also overlain by detritus from the road works. The three enclosures are situated to the S and E of the buildings; two are sub-rectangular, while the third is circular and levelled into the slope.

Visited by RCAHMS (DCC) 16 March 1993.

Note

What may be a farmstead comprising one unroofed building and an enclosure with an attached length of wall is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875, sheet xx). The unroofed building and the enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1975).
