Note

One roofed building annotated Lochbuilg Cottage with a roofed kennel, an unroofed structure and one enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map, (Aberdeenshire 1869-72, sheet lxxviii). The OS Name Book notes that Lochbuilg Cottage is 'a gamekeepers cottage situated close to the boundary between Aberdeen and Banff and near to Loch Builg in the latter County from which it derives the name. - name anglicised' (ONB 1870). The three buildings are shown as unroofed on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 scale map, (1971).
