The mansion house of Finzean is an old house, built in the form of three sides of a square.

NSA 1845.

Finzean House was burned down, only the front E gable remaining. Remainder rebuilt in a different design.

1686 skewput over courtyard gate.

HBD, note to no. 20 (sundial at Finzean House).

Listed.

NMRS REFERENCE:

Owners - W.M. Farquharson-Lang.

Original house was built in 1686, a South wing added in 1749, alterations made 1790 and about 1860. The three gables and entrance door were added. In 1954 the S.W. corner of the house was completely destroyed by fire and a smaller and more convenient house is now being built.
