Archaeology Notes

ND05SE 7 094 510.

Centred ND 0940 5103. On the N bank of the Allt Loch- meadie, about 250m from its junction with the Allt Athain Shalaich are the remains of four shielings. They consist of low mounds of earth and stone, about 0.3 to 0.8m high with the mutilated outline of a rectangular building on top. These buildings vary from 4 by 3m to 8 by 3.5m in size.
