NO44NE 18 4558 4928.

Gallow Hill (name at NO 4563 4960 on OS 1:10,000 map, 1973): a slight eminence in Whitehill Wood. According to local tradition criminals were executed here in feudal times.

Name Book (Forfarshire).

Burials of two adults were found at NO 4558 4928, at Gallow Hill. Exposed by uprooting of a tree during a gale, 31st January 1953.
