INFORMATION TAKEN FROM THE ARCHITECTURE CATALOGUE:

The National Trust Survey (1938) points out that this village is very unspoilt. The houses are simple, dating chiefly from the eighteenth century. The High Street presents an exceedingly complete group of its period.
