On the E-facing slope near the foot of Glen Culsten, the turf-covered remains of shielings.

I Shepherd 1989.

(Location cited as NO 392 99). Mid Culsten. Air photography (AAS/88/12/S22/1-4, flown 22 November 1988) has recorded a large turf-covered enclosure (possibly of two periods), stone clearance-heaps and rig in an area of heather and native pinewood at an altitude of about 310m OD.
