Watching Brief (18 November 2015 - 20 November 2015)
A watching brief was carried out from 18-20 November 2015 during the excavation of a trench for fibre optic cables to 53 College Bounds. One trench was excavated on the S side of the garden wall adjacent to the Powis Lodge, 51 College Bounds, the former Rocking Horse Nursery (Trench 1) and one trench within the front garden of 53 College Bounds (Trench 2). The trenches were filled with garden soil and one area of construction/ demolition material in Trench 2 which may have been associated with demolition of greenhouses or garden buildings. The cabling has now been laid and the trench is now backfilled.
