Project (1997)
The Public Monuments and Sculpture Association (http://www.pmsa.org.uk/) set up a National Recording Project in 1997 with the aim of making a survey of public monuments and sculpture in Britain ranging from medieval monuments to the most contemporary works. Information from the Edinburgh project was added to the RCAHMS database in October 2010 and again in 2012.
The PMSA (Public Monuments and Sculpture Association) Edinburgh Sculpture Project has been supported by Eastern Photocolour, Edinburgh College of Art, the Edinburgh World Heritage Trust, Historic Scotland, the Hope Scott Trust, The Old Edinburgh Club, the Pilgrim Trust, the RCAHMS, and the Scottish Archive Network.

Standing Building Recording (29 April 2014)
AOC Archaeology Group was commissioned by Miller Homes to undertake an historic building recording survey of the former Ainslie Park High School and (later) Telford College prior to part-demolition and renovation. The works were required as part of a planning condition on the development. The building was constructed in 1939 - 1949 on previously undeveloped land, although to the east of the site was once East Pilton Farm with a settlement here dating back to at least the 17th century. It was demolished to make way for the school. The buildings were constructed in an Art Deco style with a main block with a central courtyard and a smaller gymnasium to the east. The historic building recording survey has successfully recorded the building as a 'preservation by record' of the structure and no further historic building recording was recommended.
