Archaeology Notes

ND03SE 8 0951 3382

At ND 0951 3382, set into a low spur, is a turf-covered hut circle measuring 7.5m NW-SE by 6.5m transversely within a wall reduced to 0.3m average internal height and spread to 2.5m. The entrance, of simple form, is in the SE. There is no evidence of associated cultivation, but a later, turf-covered bank, associated with nearby early-modern settlement, skirts the NW tangent of the hut.

Surveyed at 1:10,000.

Visited by OS (NKB), 12 August 1982.
