Field Visit (13 December 1991)

NX88NW 64 8086 8887.

This C-shaped burnt mound is situated on the W side of a burn to the WSW of Castlehill farmsteading. It measures 8m from NNE to SSW by 4.5m transversely and 0.9m in height, opening out on the E, where it has been eroded by the burn, exposing a section of cracked stone and black soil 0.6m in height.
