Archaeology Notes

This is situated to the west of the Old harbour, between the coast and Bridgeness Road. The scrap yard is now called Braemar Alloys Ltd. This is a complex of three structures, two metal and one concrete and stone. This site is on land which has been reclaimed since the 1st edition OS map.

Site recorded by GUARD during the Coastal Assessment Survey for Historic Scotland, 'The Firth of Forth from Dunbar to the Coast of Fife' 20th February 1996.

This site falls within the Industrial and Shoreline Area of Townscape Character (NT08SW 167), which was defined as part of the RCAHMS Urban Survey Programme 2013.
