Archaeology Notes

ND36NE 46 c. 37 67

Two photographs of 'Freswick Chambered Cairn' were donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by Sir Francis Tress Barry in 1904.

PSAS 1904.

These photographs, now in NMRS, show a round, thin walled structure, not a chambered cairn. Neither Batey in 1980, nor Davidson and Henshall could locate it.

C E Batey 1984; J L Davidson and A S Henshall 1991.
