Activities

Field Visit (12 September 1991)

NT60NE 60 6826 0806.

There are two earthen-banked stock enclosures or sheepfolds on the NNE-facing slopes of Bught Knowe; that to the E is rectilinear (NT 6826 0806) and that to the W is a segment of an oval (NT 6816 0803). The full perimeter of neither enclosure could be determined at the time of visit due to bracken infestation. However that to the E measures some 60m from NNE to SSW by 30m transversely and that to the W comprises a curvilinear length of bank measuring some 70m across the arc.

Visited by RCAHMS (PJD) 12 September 1991.

Sbc Note

Visibility: Upstanding building, which may not be intact.
