Field Visit (27 November 1991)

NX88NW 14.19 8207 8654.

This C-shaped burnt mound is situated on the NE side of the Skelston Burn and is overlain by a drystone wall. It measures 9m in diameter and 0.6m in height, opening out on the SW. Lifting a sod revealed cracked stones set in a matrix of black soil.
