This farmstead, which comprises at least three buildings and a kiln-barn, lies in the angle of two fields to the WNW of Shillingland. The N building (Nith 30) measures 10.9m from NE to SW by 4.2m transversely within stone footings 0.7m in thickness and 1.8m in height. There is an outshot on the SW end and the remains of an earlier structure extend for 7.1m beyond the N end. The entrance is on the SE and a paved path runs off to the SW in the direction of the W building (Nith 29), which measures 9m from NW to SE by 4.4m transversely within faced-rubble walls 0.6m in thickness and up to 2m in height. The entrance is on the NE and is flanked by windows. A robbed building lies some 10m to the S. Farther to the S there is a kiln-barn (Nith 28) situated on the W bank of a burn. The bowl measures 3.1m in diameter internally and about 1m in depth. The partly-robbed barn extends for some 4m to the N of the kiln-bowl. On a small knoll some 10m to the N of the W building (Nith 29) there is a subrectangular building (Nith 391) measuring 7.3m from N to S by 2.5m transversely within grass-grown footings 0.6m in thickness and 0.3m in height. The N end is rounded and may have been a kiln-bowl, with a kiln-barn extending to the S.
