Apigill: the ruins of a croft (Name Book compiled 1873).

Name Book (Sutherland).

The turf-covered footings of two long-houses the larger being 53m by 4m with the walls averaging 0.3m high. Associated enclosures in a similar condition occur nearby along with a corn-drying kiln. There are faint traces of contemporary run-rig.

Visited by OS (JB) 30 November 1978.

A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building and an enclosure, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xviii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1964).
