A resistivity survey was carried out in 1978 along the cliff area SE of Red Craig (Middle Area: centred HY 2457 2814). The dot-density diagram indicates areas of comparatively high resistance concentrating in the middle and E section. There are no clearly discernible features or structures, and although these may represent archaeological features, experience from excavation of similar features in Area 4 (HY22NW 15) suggests that these may possibly indicate gravel dumping from the Brough Road. No excavation work was undertaken. (For results, see illus. 46.)
