Archaeology Notes

NT04NW 56 0427 4936

There is an enclosure and a possible building just to the N of a modern sheepfold in an area of field clearance cairns on the SE-facing slopes of Horse Law. Measuring 29.8m from N-S by 11m within turf banks spread to 1.6m in width and standing up to 0.2m in height, with a central partition and a clearance cairn lying over the NW corner.

Attached to the SE corner of the enclosure is a possible building measuring 4.2m by 1.4m within turf banks up to 0.2m in height.
