A minor farmstead consisting of a cluster of small buildings of oval and rectilinear form. A more recent sheep pound has been constructed on the site, using stone from the structures. Around the settlement an area of about four acres in the bend of the burn has been improved, some of it bearing rig and furrow and lazy-bed patterns.

R J Mercer 1980.

Six unroofed unroofed buildings are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1878, sheet xlvii). Seven unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10,560 map (1962).
