Activities

Aerial Photographic Interpretation (28 January 1993)

NO23SE 48 292 307.

Aerial photography has revealed several features in the field to the N and W of Rossie old parish church (NO23SE 4). The principal features are a series of rectilinear enclosures immediately to the NW of the church, but there is also a possible sunken-floored rectangular building a short distance to the W. Elsewhere in the field there is what is almost certainly a trackway (NO 287 307 to 291 307) curving SE towards the site of Rossie village (NO23SE 5), but of the latter no cropmark traces have been recorded.

Information from RCAHMS (JRS) 28 January 1993.
