NO14SE 66 1947 4311

Cropmarks have revealed two groups of pits (150m apart) in a field to the NNW of Ardmuir, one of them (NO14SE 66) comprising six pits and the other (NO14SE 86), four. The pits of the six-pit setting are arranged in three opposed pairs, while the rows forming the sides, which measure 15m in length, are not exactly parallel, splaying from 14m apart at the E end to 16m on the W.
