Two hut-circles (partly shrouded in peat) and a substantial building are situated on the SE bank of the Red Burn about 100m SW of the bridge that crosses the burn below Lowerglen cottage. The smaller of the two hut-circles, which measures about 7.5m by 6.6m internally has been built within the interior of the larger; the latter is about 11.5m in internal diameter and at one point its wall stands 0.6m high in three courses. The entrances to both hut-circles were probably on the NE.
The building lies immediately to the W, between the edge of the peat moss and the SE bank of the burn; it measures about 15.6m in length and varies in breadth from 2.4m at the ends to 3.9m at the middle. A low scarp visible along the S side of the interior may indicate that a later building has been inserted. The date of this building is unknown and it is not immediately comparable to the types of buildings that are found amongst the townships on the Waternish peninsula.
On the NW side of the burn, opposite the building, there are the remains of a small square hut (NG 3305 5193).
