Of the seven buildings shown as unroofed at this location on the first edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire, 1874, Sheet xx), the footings of six are still visible, the seventh having been reduced to a heap of rubble.

A township, comprising seven unroofed buildings, one of which is an L-shaped long building and one enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Elginshire 1874, sheet xx). Six unroofed buildings and one enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1976).
