Archaeology Notes

NC91NE 54 9515 1712

At NC 9515 1712 is an oval stone-walled hut circle in association with a minor field system. The situation is is moorland open to the NE. The hut, obscured by heather overgrowth, is about 10.5m E-W by 8.5m inside a reduced wall spread to 2.0m; an entrance is in the E. Contemproary agriculture is shown by a scattering of stone clearance heaps on the level ground to the NE but cultivation plots as such are not discernible.

Surveyed at 1:10,560.
