NG 5939 2651 – NG 5907 2549 Work was conducted in January 2009 to assess the potential impact of the proposed access road extending from Strollamus to the Allt na Teangaidh intake.
A total of 12 sites were identified within 100m of the proposed route of the access road. There is evidence that this area was occupied and exploited from as early as the Bronze Age, with a hut circle potentially dating to this period at NG 5928 2608.
The presence of several sites in the study area suggests that there is a good potential for archaeological remains ranging from the Bronze Age to the post-medieval period.
