Activities

Aerial Photographic Transcription (11 April 1991 - 15 April 1991)

An aerial transcription was produced from oblique aerial photographs. Information from Historic Environment Scotland (BM) 31 March 2017.

Watching Brief (12 September 2023 - 15 September 2023)

Centred on NT 34506 67868 AOC Archaeology Group undertook an archaeological watching brief in respect to the proposed extension of Woodburn Primary Schools Multi-Use Games Area on land to the west of the current school (Planning Ref: 23/00149/DPP).

The site had been previously subject to extensive truncation and landscaping associated with the construction of Woodburn Primary School and no in situ deposits were observed. An imported 0.40m thick topsoil was present across the development area, this directly overlaid a yellowish sandy natural.

No archaeologically significant material or features were observed.
