Archaeology Notes

ND24SW 19 212 439.

Some 75m to the N of sheepfold ND24SW 4 was a grass-covered mound, with a sub-rectangular turf-built structure on it. The structure had maximum measurements of 12m N-S and 6m W-E across the wall tops, with opposing 'diagonal' entrances in the W and E walls. The walls of this unusual feature were spread to at least 2.35m and stood c0.65m high.
