St Bryde's well is situated in woodland at the edge of the escarpment overlooking the River Annan, some 320m NNW of St Bryde's Church (NY17SE 8). It consists of a spring, emanating from the eroded scarp at the foot of a beech tree into a stone basin of probable medieval date.
