A map in the British Museum, dated December, 1590, marks a tower symbol, on the right bank of the River Liddel north-east of Helcaldenburne (NY 5800 9885), with the name 'Martin Crozier of Rakestonleis'. The Wheel Causeway is marked on the opposite side of the Liddel.
