('A': NC 8104 3116) Enclosure (NR)
('B' NC 8108 3112) Hut Circle (NR)
Centred at NC 810311 on a gentle NE-facing slope is a settlement of four heather-covered hut circles ('A'-'D'). 'A' and 'B' were discovered by the previous field investigator.(Visited by OS (W D J) 16 May 1961
'A' is clearly defined and built into the slope; it measures 13.5m SE-NW by 12.0m within a wall spread up to 3.0m and 0.6m high. The entrance is in the SE.
'B' is a small hut, 4.5m in diameter, within a low wall spread to 2.0m. The entrance is probably in the SE. The interior is marshy.
'C' and 'D' are relatively indistinct, 'C' discernible as a platform built onto the slope. The platform is rimmed by a fragmentary wall spread to 2.0m where visible; the hut measures 9.5m SE-NW by 8.5m within it. The entrance is in the SE.
'D' is about 11.0m E-W by 9.0m within a low wall spread to 2.0m. Part of the E arc has been destroyed by a small drainage channel. The entrance is in the E.
A few probable clearance heaps and lynchets in the immediate vicinity are the only traces of contemporary agriculture.
