Archaeology Notes

NY29NE 17 2512 9915.

There is a hut circle within the outer precinct, and near the North end of the Roman camp at Raeburnfoot (NY29NE 5).

RCAHMS 1920, visited 1912

NY 2512 9915. A circular turf-banked enclosure 5.5m in diameter. This is not a hut circle as it clearly post-dates the Roman Fort and is a doubtful antiquity. See type site NY29NE 16.

Visited by OS (WDJ) 22 August 1962 and (IA) 9 October 1973.
