NY27SE 14 c. 265 704.

A gold object, purpose unknown, 'found lately' in a moss about 18 in. below the surface, 'on the estate of Mr Irvine, of Cove, near Ecclefechan', was in the possession of John Davidson, jnr., of Edinburgh, on 27 March 1755.

The minute book of the Soc Antiq London refers to a gold object which may have been a Late Bronze Age armlet, from Ecclefechan (NY 1974). (Cove: NY 265 704).

The possible armlet noted by Coles is to be identified with that said to have been found at Cove.
