This freestanding head was found 'near the Roman Camp at Middlebie...'. It is held in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) under accession number FV 8 and provenanced as from 'Middleby', Annandale; it is listed as 'Female with hair rolled back at the sides'.
