(NY 1101 8430) Albie Thorn (NR) (Site of) Bell of Albie, slain 7th Dec. 1593.

A thorn, planted, it is said, to mark the spot where Bell of Albie fell on the 7th December 1593 while in pursuit of the Maxwells after the battle of Dryfe Sands, was still standing in 1898.
