NY06NW 22.00 0107 6611.

Aerial reconnaissance identified a fortlet in parched grass only 70m from the shore at the mouth of the Nith, c. 150m SW of Ward Law fort (NY06NW 4). It measures c.42m NE-SW by 37m over the centre of the single ditch 2-3m wide and 1.6m deep. (Cf Barburgh Mill: NX98NW 2.) (Information from G S Maxwell)
