On the S. end of Nether Dod are two cairns within 150 yds. of each other. The one measures 39' in diameter and 4' in elevation, while the other measures 30' in diameter and 4'6" in elevation.
RCAHMS 1920
The remains of the two cairns are as described by RCAHMS. The northern one consists of a circular mound of stones 13.0m in diameter and 1.0m in height. The second cairn, situated 140m south of the above, is a mound of stones almost completely turf-covered and measures 10.3m in diameter by 0.5m in height. A small shepherd's cairn 1.4m high by 1.6m in diameter stands upon the southern half of the cairn.

The condition of these two cairns, previously recorded by RCAHMS and the OS, was noted during a pre-afforestation survey by T Ward (Biggar Museum Trust; NMRS MS 959/2, no.8).
The N cairn measures 13m from E to W by 16m with a slight tail on the S side. A relatively modern cairn has been constructed on the summit.
The S cairn now lies within a mature forest and is covered in moss and conifer needles. A drain has been cut through the edge of the cairn.
