Irongray Church [NAT]

Location formerly entered as NX 9151 7956.

NX 9151 7956. In the church of Kirkpatrick Irongray is a pamphlet which states that the present church built in 1803 incorporates the walls of a Pre Reformation Church supposedly dedicated to St. Patrick. Further extensions etc. were carried out in 1872. The present church is rectangular with a square flat-topped tower at its west end incorporating the vestry and belfry. The church is in use as a place of worship.
