Archaeology Notes

The heavily corroded fragments of a short, single-edged, iron knife, possibly of the 8th century, were found near Dunrobin Castle (NC 850 008) and were in the museum there in 1925. The point and a piece of the blade were missing, giving a length of 26.6cms and a maximum width of 4cms.

S Grieg 1940.

The fragments were not noted in 1966.
