OS 6" map (1957)

White Cairn, situated on a prominence, has been circular, between 80 and 90 ft in diameter. Its stones have been almost entirely cleared away.

RCAHMS 1920, visited 1912

NX 8238 9757. White Cairn (name verified) is situated on the top of a shallow eminence on undulating ground. It survives as a partly turf-covered stony mound 32.5m E-W by 29.5m and up to 1.7m high with no significant features.

Re-surveyed at 1:2500.

Visited by OS (TRG) 13 December 1977.
