OS 6" map (1957)

This is the traditional site of a castle. In the 19th Century it was recollected locally that remains of very thick walls had been seen. (Evidence of a rectangular site is published on OS 25" 1857 at NX 8032 9795).

Name Book 1856

The suggested sites of this tower fall in the garden of Arkland House and there is no surface evidence of it.
